The Mission of UCARE Ministries is to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all nations in order to convert those who never knew Christ, bring those back to Christ who have turned away from Him, and to convict Christians of their secret sins or self-righteousness. The purpose of this mission is to prepare the Church for the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The following statement of faith shall be the consented statement of faith of UCARE Ministries of Lithonia, Georgia.
We believe that there is only One God and Jesus is His name. He is revealed as the Father in Creation, the Son in humanity, and the Holy Ghost in our souls.
We believe the Father is the Invisible God from whom all things are created in Heaven, the earth, and beneath the earth. No man has ever seen Him nor will flesh ever see Him. From Him all good things come and all that He made is good. In Him there is light and there is no darkness at all.
We believe in the Son of God. Jesus is God and He is the visible representation of the invisible God. Through Him all things were created visible and invisible whether in Heaven, the earth, or beneath the earth. He was in the beginning with the Father. He reveals the Father to mankind. It was necessary that He came in the flesh in order that we might be able to inherit eternal life. His purpose was to shed His Blood for our redemption. For without the Blood we would be eternally lost. He rose from the dead, appeared to around five hundred witnesses, and ascended to the right hand of God which is the Throne of God. He will return to the earth just as he promised in these last days to redeem the faithful and to bring judgment to the unbelieving. He that has seen the Son of God has seen the Father.
We believe in the Holy Ghost who comes from the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. He produces redemption and sanctification in us. He is given to those who believe and are obedient to the Gospel. He is our comfort in our human life and struggles. He is the one who gives us understanding of the Word of God. He is the Counselor and a better one than the most qualified human counselor. The Holy Ghost is the One who gives us assurance of eternal life. The baptism of the Holy Ghost is subsequent to Salvation. The evidence of this baptism is speaking in tongues, prophesying, praising God, or speaking the Word of God in boldness. The ongoing, continual evidence are the fruits of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faith, and self control. The Holy Ghost still performs healings, miracles, signs, and wonders..
We believe that in the beginning the Lord Jesus Christ created the heavens and the earth in a literal six day period. He separated the light from the darkness and called the light day and the darkness night. He made man from dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life.
We believe that man is fallen from his original condition. We were created without sin but through the disobedience of one man brought sin into the world. Thus, we are all born into sin and with sin in our hearts. The answer to our depraved condition is to come to the knowledge of our sin and respond to God in faith that His Son shed His Blood for our redemption. The act of God is Grace and the act of man is faith. Redemption begins with repentance which is an honest confession to Jesus Christ of our sin and a plea for His help. It is evidenced by a radical change of heart, mind, and behavior.
We believe that the Holy Bible is without fault or flaw. It was written by men who were moved upon by the Holy Spirit. It is the true written Word of God and is the authority for belief, doctrine, teaching, and lifestyle. This belief includes the belief that Genesis 1 – 11 is literal which follows a belief in a literal six day Creation, a young earth, and that Adam was the first man. This belief includes the belief that the prophets spoke as they were moved on by the Holy Spirit to foretell events long before they happened. This belief includes that the Lord Jesus Christ was in the tomb for an actual three days and three nights. This belief includes that the Lord Jesus Christ did die on the Cross, was buried, and did resurrect from the dead. He performed miracles of healing and He still performs these same miracles today through the Holy Spirit.
